News Worthy Events
Jan Rickman will be the Featured Artist at the A+Y Design Gallery First Friday event. She will be giving an artist demonstration on surface design between 5:30 pm and 8:00 pm.

Susan, Kathleen, Jan W. and Angela went to Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival and Lincoln Center in Fort Collins. Kathleen has a piece on exhibit in the show New Legacies: Contemporary Art Quilts.
They enjoyed good food and good company.

Thoreau Exhibit
The Raven Mavens have been so busy this past year that we haven't been able to keep the blog updated! It's about time to share some of what we've been creating.
One of our more recent challenges was to create a piece based on a quote, which was voted on by the group. We decided to to keep the size uniform, then mat and frame each one to 16" x 20". These were on display at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts Member's Show in 2013.

Raven Mavens have been invited to participate in an exhibit focusing on Native American rugs. We will be creating small, southwest themed pieces to complement the rugs.
